Objectives
At the end of this course, team members will:
- Identify patient and circuit indications of decreased pump preload in VA ECMO
- Identify proper cannula position for VA ECMO
- Describe clinical signs of a malpositioned cannula in a patient on VA ECMO
- Implement corrective action when the cannula is malpositioned
- Demonstrate communication skills among ECMO team members.
