This session will introduce foundational concepts of artificial intelligence and explore its emerging role in precepting. We will review practical applications of AI in clinical education and key limitations. Lastly, we will discuss AI integration within Advocate and residency training, with a focus on academic integrity, learner accountability, and HIPAA compliance.

  • Distinguish appropriate use cases and limitations of AI tools (accuracy/bias)
  • Describe tactics to determine AI was used to generate learning materials
  • Explain legal and ethical implications of using AI in patient care and precepting
  • Identify how Advocate Health has integrated AI into patient care systems
