ForwardColorectal Cancer Care in 2026 and Beyond
Colorectal cancer remains one of the most common and deadly malignancies worldwide, with its incidence increasingly affecting both older and younger populations. This conference will provide a comprehensive review of colorectal cancer, including current epidemiologic trends, established risk factors, preventive strategies, and evidence-based screening modalities that support early detection and improved outcomes. Special emphasis will be placed on the growing incidence of colorectal cancer among young adults, highlighting unique clinical presentations, diagnostic challenges, and considerations for management in this emerging patient population. Participants will receive updates on the latest advances in medical and radiation oncology, including developments in systemic therapies, targeted treatments, immunotherapy, and modern radiation techniques. The program will also explore current treatment approaches for advanced colorectal cancer, focusing on individualized, multidisciplinary strategies designed to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life. In addition, attendees will gain insight into the role of centers of excellence in colorectal cancer care and how specialized programs contribute to improved coordination, innovation, and patient-centered care. The conference will conclude with a multidisciplinary panel discussion featuring experts across surgical, medical, radiation, and gastrointestinal specialties who will discuss challenging cases, emerging evidence, and best practices in the management of colorectal cancer.

Target Audience
This course is intended for Physicians, Physician Assistants (PA’s), Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN), Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses (RN), Pharmacists, primary care providers, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeon residents, and other healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Evaluate current colorectal cancer screening recommendations, risk factors, and diagnostic workup strategies to support timely detection and evidence-based patient management.
- Integrate contemporary treatment approaches for colorectal cancer, including surgical management, systemic therapies, and radiation oncology, into clinical decision-making.
- Apply a multidisciplinary approach to colorectal cancer care by recognizing the roles of surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, gastroenterologists, and other healthcare professionals in optimizing patient outcomes.
