Psychopharmacology for Clinicians
This presentation will provide an introduction to Behavioral Health pharmacotherapy for Non-prescribing Clinicians.
Target Audience
The program is aimed at psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and other allied health professionals who deal with mental health issues and addiction medicine.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Describe the mechanism of action for Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs)
- List three potential adverse drug reactions associated with antipsychotic medications
- Identify three types of medications which have drug-drug interactions with lithium
