Epic Ambulatory Urgent Care 2024
This course is available to Epic Community Connect teammates only. This course needs to be completed with a trainer as it requires specific Epic system training.
The Epic learning events are intended to provide training of clinical tools to enhance patient care. The lesson plans for each course will focus on particular workflows that are required to successfully use Epic to accomplish Advocate Health’s mission.
Ambulatory Urgent Care is intended for clinical staff in the Urgent Care setting. In this course, the user will learn Epic workflows for practices that provide urgent or immediate care to patients. Topics include but are not limited to:
- Walk In Appointments
- Clinic Trackboard
- Moving Patients using Trackboard
- Enter/Edit Results
- New Orders
- Documenting on the Avatar
- MAR Documentation
- Completing LDA's
Prerequisite: Ambulatory Clinician or Ambulatory Provider
Target Audience
This course is intended for physicians and other interested health care professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Operate the EMR in a safe and efficient manner
- Review clinical information effectively
- Accurately create, edit, and document procedures and diagnoses
- Correctly order tests, medications, and prescriptions
