Geriatrics for Advanced Practice 2023 Series: Helping Older Adults Who Want to (But Probably Shouldn’t) Remain at Home

Geriatrics for Advanced Practice is a unique educational activity that is intended to enhance the knowledge and ability of advanced practice providers to be able to contribute to the health of a population and provide optimal evidence-based care for the high-risk population of older adults.

Target Audience

This course is intended for Advance Practice Clinicians NPs, PAs, Physicians, Nursing, and other interested healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe common challenges in remaining safely at home for older adults who have complex needs.​
  2. Evaluate key Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living to remain safely at home.​
  3. Identify community resources to support older adults to remain safely at home.​
