This course is intended for all physicians including generalists, neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists, RN's, PA's, NP's, RTT's, and various other members of the health care team
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Describe Epidemiology of stroke and atrial fibrillation
- Discuss prevention measures of thromboembolic events in atrial fibrillation
- Review management of thromboembolic events from atrial fibrillation
- Review management of thromboembolic events perioperatively (ie. Afib ablation)
- Apply knowledge of atrial fibrillation treatment and prevention using case studies
