Pediatric Advanced Care Symposium: High‑Yield Palliative Care for Primary Teams
This half-day, in-person symposium provides primary inpatient teams with practical pediatric palliative care strategies that can be immediately applied in clinical practice. Through expert presentations, an interprofessional panel discussion, and interactive case-based learning, participants will enhance their skills in distinguishing primary and specialty palliative care roles, managing neuroagitation, and conducting family-centered conversations related to goals of care and advance care planning. Additional topics include interdisciplinary collaboration, transitions to home, hospice and community-based resources, POLST completion, and approaches to supporting children with serious illness and their families across the continuum of care. Participants will leave with actionable tools to improve communication, care coordination, symptom management, and patient and family support.
This conference is being held in person.
