Advocate Christ Medical Center’s annual Wound Care Symposium brings together healthcare professionals to explore the latest evidence-based practices, innovations, and clinical strategies in wound and ostomy care. Through expert-lead presentations and collaborative learning opportunities, participants gain practical knowledge to enhance patient outcomes and advance excellence in specialty care.

Target Audience

This course is intended for nurses as well as other healthcare professionals interested in wound and ostomy care

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Apply evidence-based wound and ostomy care strategies, including offloading, edema management, and advanced therapies, to improve patient outcomes.
  2. Recognize clinical, legal, and pathophysiologic factors affecting wound care practice, including documentation and skin failure.
