Requirements

Leaders eligible for continuing certification credit through the Portfolio Program meet meaningful participation requirements through the following types of organizational roles:

• Organizational Quality Improvement or Patient Safety Officer
• Quality Improvement or Patient Safety Coach/Trainer
• Department/Section/Unit Chair for Quality Improvement or Patient Safety
• Resident/Student Quality Improvement or Patient Safety Advisor
• Quality Improvement or Patient Safety Committee Chair or Vice Chair (members eligible dependent on the work of the committee)
• Additional roles may be eligible

Process

1. Ensure you are in one the QI/PS roles listed above. 
2. Complete the QI Leader Attestation by November 20th to receive credit for this calendar year.
3. Advocate Health Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) team will review and submit the attestations to ABMS and the certifying board(s).
