The Nursing Journal Club at Advocate Condell Medical Center provides a collaborative forum for nurses to discuss and critically appraise peer-reviewed nursing literature. Following the required reading of the chosen journal article a one-hour virtual discussion regarding the article will be facilitated by the content expert.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Critically appraise a peer-reviewed nursing journal article using evidence-based evaluation criteria.
  2. Identify key findings and implications for clinical practice from the selected article.
  3. Compare perspectives from the discussion and apply research to real-world nursing scenarios.
  4. Evaluate how the article’s content may influence or enhance their current nursing practice.

Target Audience:  
This activity is designed for nurses.
