Objectives:

  • Discuss different symptoms of colds and flus and how they can be treated using natural remedies.
  • Tailor the use of different herbs, foods, and spices to treat individual cold or flu symptoms.
  • Understand differences in the way colds and flus are conceptualized between biomedicine, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, and integrative medicine
  • Assess the evidence in the medical literature for and against using food to treat colds and flus.
