Cancer conferences are weekly consultative and educational forums in which oncology caregivers come together to share medical and patient care knowledge by using professional and interprofessional communication skills to discuss newly diagnosed patients with cancer.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Apply current evidence-based practices to provide improved outcomes for patients diagnosed with or currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
  2. Apply treatment plans agreed upon by consensus at the conference to their cancer patients.
  3. Recognize improved cancer care management based upon interactions with colleagues, including shared perspectives, expertise and experiences.
  4. Identify available clinical trials that their patients may be eligible to participate in.

Target Audience:  
This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
