This series is a multidisciplinary continuing education initiative designed to advance clinical expertise and foster collaboration among physicians and other allied health professionals in the Charlotte region. This series features expert-led sessions covering a broad spectrum of topics, including orthopedic non-surgical and surgical techniques, injury evaluation and management, regenerative medicine, sports biomechanics, rehabilitation sciences, sports psychology, emergency and sideline care, performance nutrition, data-driven technologies, and health disparities in athletic populations.

Each session emphasizes evidence-based practices and emerging research, with a focus on optimizing patient outcomes and return-to-sport strategies. By bringing together professionals across diverse specialties, the series aims to enhance the quality of care for patients and athletes at all levels while creating a more integrated, informed, and innovative Charlotte sports medicine community dedicated to advancing clinical outcomes and scientific discovery.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Apply evidence‑based practices in evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating common and complex sport‑related injuries through interdisciplinary case discussions.
  2. Incorporate current and emerging orthopedic surgical techniques into collaborative care planning to optimize patient outcomes and rehabilitation strategies.
  3. Integrate multidisciplinary perspectives including physical therapy, athletic training, sport psychology, cardiology, and nutrition into comprehensive and coordinated care plans for athletes.

This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
