This series aims to optimize care for patients with oncologic and hematologic conditions. It highlights current research as well as novel and enhanced treatments for cancer and blood disorders that are ongoing within our Cancer and Blood Disorders department. It consists of these main content areas: cancer and blood disorders research, journal article and clinical trial reviews, and hematology case conferences. Participants will engage in discussions on ongoing research, evidence-based medicine, clinical hematology cases and relate these discussions to clinical practice. Through collaborative learning and the exchange of cutting-edge insights, this course aims to elevate the standards of hematologic and oncologic care and foster innovation in treatment approaches tailored to the unique roles of healthcare professionals in this field.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Analyze journal articles to identify strengths, limitations, and biases in the data.\
  2. Examine ongoing research for abstract submissions, manuscript development, and conference presentations.
  3. Evaluate protocol logistics, including eligibility criteria, enrollment workflow, and interventions to optimize enrollment.
  4. Interpret hematologic lab tests related to the diagnosis and management of common and rare hematologic conditions.

This activity is designed for physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
