This goal of this quarterly educational series is to provide in-depth, case-based learning to offer a practical guide with evidence-based training for hyperbaric healthcare professionals. The course focuses on understanding the science behind hyperbaric oxygen therapy, including oxygen physiology, chamber mechanics, and the evidence supporting HBOT for approved diagnoses. Participants will engage in interactive learning, case studies, problem-solving, demonstrations, and return demonstrations. Safety updates, policy changes, and case studies are emphasized to reinforce current standards and protocols. Grounded in NFPA 99/101, UHMS, and organizational guidelines, this program enhances clinical readiness, emergency preparedness, and operational excellence. The goal is to support a high-reliability hyperbaric environment where staff deliver safe, standardized, and compliant patient care.

Overall Objectives:
- Evaluate appropriate indications, contraindications, and treatment parameters for hyperbaric oxygen therapy using current evidence-based guidelines.
- Analyze case studies and quality data to recognize clinical variations, complications, and opportunities for improvement in hyperbaric practice.
- Apply chamber physics, oxygen toxicity principles, and NFPA 99/101 safety standards to ensure safe and consistent chamber operations.
- Incorporate standardized risk-assessment and decision-making strategies to reduce variability and enhance patient safety.
Target Audience:
This activity is designed for Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
