This journal club activity is designed to facilitate the analysis and discussion of recent peer-reviewed literature related to vascular surgery, emphasizing the integration of national guidelines and best practices to improve patient outcomes and care quality. Weekly sessions involve collaborative participation from APDVS residents, fellows, and practitioners, who critically evaluate selected articles and discuss their application in clinical settings.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Incorporate evidenced-based practice to improve patient care in a cost-effective manner. 
  2. Apply analysis that aligns with Vascular Surgery guidelines measured nationally. 
  3. Evaluate the basic and clinical sciences of vascular pathology, including diagnosis, treatment, and current literature.

Target Audience:  
This activity is designed for physicians, nursing, and other healthcare professionals.
