The activity focuses on maintaining contemporary vascular surgery practices by integrating national guidelines and best practices to improve patient outcomes and care. Through weekly presentations guided by APDVS, residents, fellows, and practitioners are educated on foundational science, diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound, and evidence-based treatments. The program fosters continuous learning, with an emphasis on cost-effective patient care, roundtable discussions, and adherence to national standards, ensuring that vascular surgery practices remain current, and evidence driven.

Overall Objectives:
- Examine ultrasound limitations when compared with gold standard imaging.
- Incorporate evidenced-based practice to improve patient care in a cost-effective manner.
- Apply analysis that aligns with Vascular Surgery guidelines measured nationally.
- Evaluate the basic and clinical sciences of vascular pathology, including diagnosis, treatment, and current literature.
- Interpret abnormal Doppler waveforms, B/W and color flow images.
