Topic: When to stop dementia medications in advanced dementia”

Program Overview:
This weekly conference consists of a brief didactic presentation on a topic of interest in dementia care including diagnosis, treatment, neuropsychiatric symptoms, and psychosocial aspects of care. It is followed by a case-based discussion that allows participants to identify challenges and make suggestions regarding the care of a patient with dementia.

Target Audience:
This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, social workers and other health care professionals

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

Identify current practices in the diagnosis, treatment and management of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia and apply them in clinical practice.
