Overview:

These sessions will encompass a safe space for learning to prevent identified barriers during the care of future patients and promote an educational experience related to patient care and safety. Specific patient cases that were challenging or unique will be reviewed and discussed among the attending teammates to allow open conversation and thought processes to be deliberated. This process also works to help departments, specialties, and facilities review the quality of care they provide to patients.

Overall Objectives:

1. Describe key elements of treatment protocols for patients with various admitted diagnoses and apply to applicable treatment plans in clinical practice.
2. Identify common high-risk problems so that they can be treated promptly and appropriately. 
3. Evaluate recent innovations in nursing clinical practice in order to assess their use for safe and effective patient care.
