Description: Kawasaki disease is an acute vasculitis primarily affecting pediatric patients and a leading cause of acquired heart disease. Recent guidelines have suggested updates to the medications and dosing used for the management of this condition. In this presentation, the speaker will review current literature regarding treatment of Kawasaki disease.

  • Outline aspirin dosing for patients with Kawasaki disease. 

  • Compare anti-inflammatory therapies for IVIG-resistant disease.
