The Pediatric Acute Care Advanced Practice Residency provides ongoing pediatric education to new graduate and recently hired Advanced Practice Clinicians at Advocate Children's Hospital. This is a monthly didactic education provided to the residents focusing on a variety of pediatric acute care topics and includes a monthly pharmacology component.

Overall Objectives:

1. Describe key elements of treatment protocols for acutely ill pediatric patients and apply treatments plans in clinical practice.

2. Design diagnostic and therapeutic plans for acutely ill pediatric patients and apply this to their clinical practice.

3. Integrate new information regarding diagnosis and treatment of acutely ill pediatric patients to daily clinical practice.

Target Audience:  This activity is designed for the Pediatric Advanced Practice Clinician Residency for new graduate and recently hired advanced practice clinicians at Advocate Children's Hospital. Additional learners, such as seasoned advanced practice clinicians at Advocate Children's Hospital, are able to join remotely via Teams for education sessions.
