The ongoing safety champion training series provides site-based instruction from the safety team regarding the high reliability tools and tactics, foundational safety knowledge, and how to engage their team with learning and culture-building activities. Safety champions and leaders, please join your site safety team members to learn more about the high reliability tools and tactics, process improvement, and how we all contribute to our journey to zero preventable serious harm events! Overall Objectives:

• Demonstrate use of human error prevention tools, or the High Reliability Tools and Tactics (HRTT).
• Demonstrate the use of the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) model for improvement.
• Verbalize the AAH HRTTS.
• Demonstrate peer coaching, especially to the HRTTs.
• Implement PDSA’s to improve local systems.

Target Audience:  
This activity is designed for leaders, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other interested frontline care team members trained as safety champions.
