  1. Describe the pathophysiology of stress ulcers in critically ill patients
  2. Review current practice and summarize the new stress ulcer prophylaxis (SUP) guidelines
  3. Discuss the therapeutic options for SUP and their associated risk
  4. Apply updated SUP recommendations to eligible patient populations
