Objectives
At the end of this course, team members will:
- Recognize clinical signs of elevated afterload on VA ECMO.
- Be able to recognize and differentiate different diagnosis of high systemic vascular resistance in an ECMO patient.
- Intervene effectively to reduce elevated systemic vascular resistance.
- Demonstrate effective closed-loop communication and role delineation.
