Objectives

  1. Describe the pathophysiology of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes and identify common signs, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria used in clinical practice
  2. Demonstrate the ability to apply current AHA/ASA stroke guidelines to clinical scenarios, including acute treatment, secondary prevention, and post-stroke care.
  3. Analyze case studies to differentiate between various stroke presentations and determine appropriate nursing interventions based on patient assessment and clinical data.
