This activity is designed for physicians, nurses and nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other and healthcare professionals and aims to enhance the management of frequently encountered hematologic issues for our hospital inpatient consultations. The focus is on discussing medical issues, patient monitoring, identifying, diagnosis and treating of hematologic problems in hospitalized patients.

Overall Objectives:
- Manage effectively hematologic emergencies, especially thrombocytopenia, in hospitalized patients including pregnant patients.
- Apply emerging guidelines and treatment for idiopathic and congenital TTP.
- Examine acute syndromes including fat emboli syndrome in critically ill sickle cell patients.
