Intubation During Cardiac Arrest-Pilot 

       Pilot Study Objectives

  1. Do no harm
  2. Provide increased intubation opportunities
  3. Improve airway management and intubation skills
  4. Increase first pass success
  5. Improve ventilation during cardiac arrest
  6. Minimize negative outcomes
  7. Monitor quality of CPR and quality of resuscitation

 

        Training Objectives

  1. Discuss patient care priorities in cardiac arrest prior to intubation
  2. Review deployment of mechanical CPR device
  3. Review and practice video laryngoscopy
  4. Discuss and practice SALAD technique
  5. Review bimanual laryngoscopy
  6. Determine competency to perform cardiac arrest management including intubation during high-fidelity simulation and hands-on skills
