Objectives:

  1. Review the differential diagnosis and workup of patients with glomerular disease.  
  2. Understand the overlap between the clinical presentation of SLE and focal segmental glomerular sclerosis.  
  3. Understand the associations of infectious etiologies and glomerular pathology.  
  4. Discuss when to seek out kidney biopsy and the prognosis of collapsing focal segmental glomerular sclerosis
