This educational series provides ongoing, evidence-informed learning opportunities for fellows, faculty, and health professionals led by Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellows and faculty. Designed to support professional development and enhance knowledge in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, the program covers a broad range of topics related to the care of patients with serious illness, including symptom management, clinical best practices, and emerging evidence. Educational content is delivered through concise, focused presentations that promote the application of current knowledge to clinical practice and support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Overall Objectives:

1. Identify evidence-based approaches to the assessment and management of common symptoms in patients receiving palliative care.
2. Apply current clinical practice guidelines and recent literature to symptom management decisions in palliative care.
3. Recognize when to escalate care, adjust therapeutic strategies, or involve specialty palliative care services for refractory or complex symptoms.
4. Integrate an interdisciplinary approach into the management of patients with serious illness.
