Multiple diagnoses are a target for Diagnosis Related Group Downgrades. In these educational presentations, we will review the clinical indictors, risk factors, and treatment for these diagnoses to help prevent DRG downgrades on Clinical Documentation queries.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Learners will identify clinical indicators and Coding guidelines on the identified diagnosis. 
  2. Learner will identify query opportunities for the identified diagnosis and then be able to implement them into their practice.

Target Audience:  
This activity is designed for Nursing Clinical Documentation Specialists and other interested healthcare professionals.
