Topic:  Colorectal Cancer:  Current trends in Incidence and Screening

 

Course Overview: 

The incidence in Colorectal cancer is rising in young patients.  We will explore the possible etiologies for this, impact on patients and implications for screening.

 

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the activity, the learner should be able to:

    • Identify and assess factors contributing to the rising incidence of colorectal cancer in young patients.
    • Analyze current data on potential etiologies of rising colorectal cancer rates in young patients
    • Summarize current colorectal cancer screening guidelines and new emerging screening modalities
