Topic: The Role of Acupuncture in Treating Chronic Pain Patients
Overview:
This MEDtalks webinar is a follow up from the May 30th Chronic Pain webinar and provides an understanding and explanation of how acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners’ approach chronic pain. The course is designed to give physicians and APC's an understanding of how this non-pharmacological approach to pain reduction can be utilized to achieve better outcomes, reduce the need for pain medications, and increase quality of life measures for their patients living with chronic pain. This course uses the biopsychosocial (BPS) approach to explain how and why acupuncture / TCM is a valuable evidence-based treatment option to include in the treatment of chronic pain and the reasons behind why it is successful.
