Topic: The Pulse of Change:  Introduction to the 2026 CPT Changes for Reporting Lower Extremity Endovascular Interventions

Speaker: Benjamin Lerner, MD FACS DFSVS

Moderator: Jeffrey Ziffra, DO

Presentation Overview:  Beginning January 1, 2026, all CPT codes for the reporting of endovascular interventions in the lower extremities have changed.  Doctors may now report interventions based on complexity, intravascular lithotripsy, as well as interventions below the ankle. To ensure correct reporting as well as appropriate reimbursement doctors who perform these procedures must have an understanding of the new code set and how to apply it to their patients interventions.

Webinar Objectives:

Understand how the new codes allow for complexity of lesions to be reported

Understand how to apply the two new codes for intravascular lithotripsy to patient interventions
Understand how new anatomic distinctions allow for additional reporting options for endovascular interventions.
