Topic: Pre-Op Cardiac Evaluation for Non-Cardiac Surgery
Speaker: Zubair Syed, MD
Moderator: Jeffrey Ziffra, DO
Presentation Overview: A thorough preoperative cardiac evaluation is essential to identify patients at increased risk for perioperative cardiac complications during non-cardiac surgery. This process involves a stepwise assessment of patient history, risk factors, and functional status, with further testing and management tailored to those at highest risk, following current evidence-based guidelines. The ultimate goal is to optimize patient safety and surgical outcomes through individualized, multidisciplinary care.
Webinar Objectives:
•Evaluate patient’s cardiac risk for non-cardiac surgery
