Program Overview:

Following the required reading of the chosen journal article a one-hour virtual discussion regarding the article will be facilitated by the content expert. The goal of the discussion for the journal club participants is to guide and support the evaluation of scholarly literature with a focus to elevating knowledge impacting professional development and patient care and outcomes. 

Articles will be open for review 2 weeks prior to the Journal Club virtual meeting.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Analyze current scholarly articles impacting nursing utilizing a critical appraisal tool.
  2. Identify at least one practice change for professional practice

Target Audience:  This activity is designed for in-patient and out-patient RNs.
