Objectives:

  1. Provide an overview of the ICU Liberation Initiative.
  2. Review both the ICU Liberation (A-F) Bundle and the Prevention and Management of Pain, Agitation/Sedation, Delirium, Immobility, and Sleep Disruption in Adult Patients in the ICU (PADIS) Guidelines.
  3. Provide an evidence-based review of each bundle element and their effects on patient outcomes.
  4. Introduce the developing definition of Post Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS)
