At the conclusion of this activity the participants should be able to:
- Discuss the differential diagnosis and workup of patients with encephalitis
- Review the overlap between the clinical presentation of encephalitis and psychosis, as well as the distinguishing features of each
- Discuss the management of encephalitis and how treatments differ based on etiology being bacterial, viral, or autoimmune
- Discuss the barriers to care faced by Non-English speaking and English as a Second Language patients and parents and strategies to provide equitable care
