This conference is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The aim is to enhance patient care and satisfaction by applying multidisciplinary, community-based, tumor board-style quality improvement methodologies to lung cancer screening and incidental lung nodule cases. It will bring together various disciplines to improve communication and coordination among care teams and referring providers. The ultimate goal is to improve outcomes and satisfaction for patients with abnormal lung radiographic findings.

Overall Objectives:

  1. Analyze the CMS and USPSTF age and smoking history criteria for lung cancer screening eligibility 
  2. Apply screening criteria to increase the number of eligible patients referred for screening 
  3. Examine Atrium health lung cancer statistics as well as number of patients screened vs. patients eligible for screening
