  • Identify patients at risk for experiencing each oncologic emergency.
  • Recognize the signs and symptoms associated with each oncologic emergency.
  • Describe the pathophysiologic processes which cause each oncologic emergency.
  • Identify appropriate diagnostic evaluation tests and interventions for treatment of each oncologic emergency.
  • Utilize appropriate nursing interventions when caring for patients experiencing each oncologic emergency.
