Objectives:

  1. Distinguish between balanced eating behaviors, ARFID, and other DSM-5 eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and OSFED) using diagnostic criteria and validated screening tools.
  2. Recognize key clinical indicators, risk factors, and early warning signs of ARFID and other eating disorders in children and adolescents based on current literature.
  3. Describe evidence-based interventions and appropriate referral pathways for multidisciplinary care of pediatric eating disorders.
