Description: This presentation will cover the 2022 guideline updates regarding the treatment of patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The presentation will cover the identification of IBS, the treatment of IBS-specific symptoms, and the creation of all-encompassing treatment plans.

Objectives:
- Identify irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) subtypes given signs, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria
- Assess available pharmacologic treatments of IBS subtypes
- Evaluate the role of nonpharmacologic treatments of IBS subtypes
- Develop a treatment plan for a patient with IBS
