IV Site Monitoring for EMTs (On-Demand)
Virtual education on caring for a patient with an existing IV site that is not being used for any fluids, medications, or blood products.
Target Audience
Wisconsin and Michigan Practitioners: EMT
Learning Objectives
- Review of IV catheter and J-loop equipment
- Overview on potential complications during transfer
- Assessing, troubleshooting and discontinuing of IV site
VIRTUAL - RECORDED EDUCATION
This course is approved by the EMS Medical Director for continuing education credit. This service medical director approval ensures credits are accepted by the State of Wisconsin EMS Section and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
This course is not considered pre-approved education by the State of Michigan Bureau of Emergency Preparedness, EMS, and Systems of Care and does not qualify for hourly credit.
