Description: This presentation will review various opportunistic infections (OIs) seen in the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) population along with the prophylaxis and treatment regimens used to manage OIs.

Objectives:
- Identify the causative organisms for several HIV/AIDS-related opportunistic infections (OIs)
- Interpret lab and clinical findings for a patient when an OI is on the differential
- Design an evidence-based treatment regimen for a patient diagnosed with Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia
- Evaluate treatment options for a patient diagnosed with cryptococcal meningitis
Target Audience: Advocate Pharmacists, Physicians, Nurses, and other interested healthcare professionals
