Aurora South Region EMS Program Q4 Training 

         This quarter EMS training will focus on the following:

  1. JeoPARTY Infectious Diseases Lecture
  2. Breakout Sessions
    • Geriatric Medical Simulation Scenario
    • Communicable Disease PPE scenario and skills
    • 12-Lead EKG Acquisition including right-sided and posterior EKGs

Aurora South Region EMS Program Q3 Training 

         This quarter EMS training will focus on the following:

  1. General Lecture: Cardiovascular Emergencies
  2. Skill Stations:            
    • Cardiovascular devices-Life Vests and AICDs
    • Trauma vs. Medical emergency simulation scenario
    • SCAPE (sympathetic crashing acute pulmonary edema) also known as flash pulmonary edema simulation scenario

  1. General Lecture: Diabetic Emergencies
  2. Skill Stations:            
  • ‘What’s in the bag’…a review of diabetic medications
  • Technology in diabetes 
  • Various devices that providers may see in the field 
  • RSV/DKA pediatric simulation scenario

  • Kangoofix Transport System for Newborns

  • Junctional Tourniquet-Inguinal Application with Wound Packing
  • Sim: Rapid Trauma Assessment
