Objectives: ​​

  • Recall patient specific risk factors for atrial fibrillation
  • Employ cardiovascular risk assessments to determine anticoagulation needs for a patient with atrial fibrillation
  • Recognize the appropriate patient characteristics for starting rhythm control.
  • Identify the role of electrical ablation and durable-medical hardware in the management of atrial fibrillation.
