Description: With expanding use of automated insulin delivery systems, pharmacists are uniquely positioned to assist with the management of these technologies as well as to address patient questions and challenges related to their use. This continuing education presentation will provide pharmacists with practical, up-to-date knowledge on automated insulin delivery (AID) systems, exploring how insulin pumps, CGMs, and algorithm-driven automation work together to optimize glycemic control. This session also emphasizes the importance of patient counseling to promote safe, effective use of AID systems.
