The presentation will explore indicated therapeutics regimens, highlighting the drugs and treatment strategies tailored or specific protozoan diseases.

Objectives: ​​ 

  • Classify protozoan infections to their respective groupings. 
  • Outline the various mechanisms of pathogenesis of protozoa. 
  • Compare anti-protozoan treatment regimens and drug resistance trends. 
  • Design a treatment plan for a patient with a protozoan infection based on patient characteristics and available regimens.
