Objectives

  1.      Describe the population/cohort of intensive care unit Black or African American patients who develop pressure injuries and those who do not develop pressure injuries
  2.      Describe patient characteristics, risk factors, and prevention strategies in the Black or African American patient population
  3.      Identify significant factors associated with the development of pressure injuries in Black and African American patients
  4.      Determine if pressure injury predictors and prevention strategies for Black or African American patients are consistent with current recommendations
