Adult Component
The session will review key adult respiratory diagnoses, including COPD, asthma, and emphysema. It will also cover PSI 11 (Postoperative Respiratory Failure), with a focus on recognizing qualifying cases and properly applying exclusion criteria—including the newer exclusion related to end-diastolic heart failure. We will review how to interpret ABGs, use them to develop accurate queries, identify clinical indicators of respiratory failure, and calculate PF ratios for patients without chronic respiratory conditions. Case studies will be included to reinforce real‑world application.

Pediatric Component
The pediatric portion will address high‑impact respiratory diagnoses such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), pediatric respiratory failure, asthma, and congenital respiratory disorders. The content will highlight clinical considerations specific to the pediatric population.

Learning Reinforcement
Throughout the presentation, we will incorporate knowledge‑check questions to support learning and retention.
